With the Steelers’ special-teams coordinator heading to Arizona to join the former Steelers offensive coordinator who supposedly “retired” and who now serves as head coach of the Cardinals, the Steelers need a new special-teams coordinator.

They possibly will be finding one in Washington, where a Pittsburgh native runs he special teams.

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Steelers have received permission to interview Redskins special-teams coordinator Danny Smith.

Smith has held the job in D.C. since 2004.

The Steelers are old and slow. Their QB is a felon. They are a decade away from relevance again.

Wow! Pittsburgh was ranked 22nd on special teams and they’ve decided to interview a man that coached a 31st ranked special teams. That’s Pittsburgh for ya.

Danny Smith is the only one who has outlasted Danny Snyder.

He’s not going anywhere, especially to an old team on the decline from a young group going up!

Damn that sounds good to say, FINALLY!!!!!!!

Im surprised the Skins game them permission . Considering its a lateral move . Good move for the Steelers though as Smith is considered to be one of the best in the business . Poor Lurch will need to find a new drinking buddy though .

You want the guy who continuously put Brandon Banks in? You can have him.

Lorenzo Alexander is the only good thing about the Skins special teams.

This will really improve on their stellar 8-8 record.

Amos Jones leaves and we’re interviewing ST coaches five minutes later. Sean Kugler has been gone for weeks. When are we going to address the offensive line??

Never mind … we’ve just made our hire at o-line coach: Jack Bicknell. Good choice!!!

Raven have the best winning percentage in playoff history. Hardly 8-8. Oh and we’re also in the Superbowl. Were you too much of a mental midget to realize that?

A fan from a different team with a much lower “Super Bowl Trophy Count” than the Pittsburgh Steelers attempts at making a “dig” towards such a superior team.

That’s your “Average-Joe-Mentality” NFL fan for ya..
