He’s learned 7 different offensive schemes and is still standing – so surely his next team won’t worry if he can adapt to their scheme. Harbaugh is a QB guru, and finally enabled Smith to use his strengths and limit his weaknesses. Although now overshadowed by Kaep, we forget that Smith is still very mobile and has great accuracy in the short passing game. A rocket arm? No. But as many analysts have said before, how many 50 yard throws are you going to rely on your QB to make? He’s gotta get first downs, and move the sticks, and that’s how you win games. Put Smith on the Jets, and they make the playoffs. Put him on Arizona, and they are no longer the laughing stock of the league where QB is concerned. He’s got 7 years left in this league, at least.

Seeing him just standing there with headphones was brutal, I really felt for the guy.
