The official announcement hasn’t been made, but several of the Hall of Fame voters have disclosed via Twitter the names of the modern-era finalists who progressed from the final 15 to the final 10.

Still alive after the first cut were Michael Strahan, Bill Parcells, Larry Allen, Jerome Bettis, Cris Carter, Charles Haley, Jonathan Ogden, Andre Reed, Warren Sapp, and Aeneas Williams.

Out are Art Modell, Eddie DeBartolo, Kevin Greene, Tim Brown, and Will Shields.

We wonder whether Brown will claim that Bill Callahan sabotaged Brown’s candidacy.

Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News said that the candidacy of Parcells was debated for a full hour.
