All his sacks came from the interior line.

Strahan got all his from the edge of the line.

Sapp also had a higher quality of competitors to face.
Being in the NFC North with Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, and Minnesota. Then the division switch to the NFC South facing Atlanta, Carolina, and New Orleans.

Heck, a lot of Sapp haters all over, due to the way Sapp treated people off the field and his weekly bloviating on television, I’m sure. He’s not a likable guy, even in Tampa there exists a healthy percentage of people who don’t care for Sapp. Maybe it’s because he blew them off when they came across him for an autograph or maybe they saw him acting a fool in the local club. So many possible reasons.

Having said that; you don’t know football if you feel Strahan should be in before Sapp, because in his prime, Sapp was the best defensive player in the game and he redefined his position. The HOF got it right this time, and Strahan will make in in next season, when the Super Bowl is played in New York, which will make for a nice celebration for Michael and his fans. Strahan is a classy guy and he wi be enshrined next year with another class act; Derrick Brooks.
