Niners get first score of Super Bowl, Part II

When the lights went out at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome (FedEx realizes it could have been worse, after all), the Ravens led the 49ers by 22 points.

Once the lights came back on, the 49ers finally hit paydirt.

A seven-play, 80-yard drive ended with a 31-yard catch and run by receiver Michael Crabtree, cutting the deficit back to 15.

The score came after a 34-minute power outage that featured plenty of frayed nerves in the press box, which is pressed tightly against the roof.  Mike Silver of Yahoo! Sports opted for hot dog chili without the hot dog as his possible last meal.

It’s nice the 49ers get a second halftime to figure out how to let their nuts hang …. Clear it’s a momentum break to prevent a ravens blowout.
