Kaepernick isn’t a rookie. Like the Ravens said, he is still very simple read QB. He stares down receivers nearly every pass and Ed Reed made it look easy. Williams almost got him the very next play. When the Ravens started blitzing him, he did his best Gabbert impression and started playing hot potato. 49ers were getting embarrassed until the power went out and helped them save face. Congrats to the Ravens!

Herm Edwards used to say that he had a rule that he never wanted to have to use a timeout in the first or third quarters. There’s a good reason for that.

Yes the play calling at the end was horrible. 3 downs to get 5 yards n no pistol formation he’s not a fade to the corner qb yet because he doesn’t put air under the ball he throws lasers out there. Will come with experience.

It’s hard to score once inside the ten yard line for lots of teams

They called a timeout they should of had there 3 best plays ready n u know a blitz is coming why not audible to a run or draw The blitz is nothing new

I will agree, the refs swallowed their whistles on multiple plays for both teams, but the bottom line was this….the niners had first and goal on the ravens 7 yd line with 2:39 left…..the niners have the biggest offensive line in football….they could have brought in their backup o lineman, brought in #90 as a fullback, and went to a fullhouse diamond formation and ran the ball all four times, especially with the ravens ng Naoti out of the game with an injury.

Jim Harbaugh panicked down the stretch, and I was the coach, we would have ran with Kap, Gore, Kap and Gore behind a nine blockers, and if the the ravens would have stopped us, then they would have deserved to win….throwing a fade in the endzone, unless its going to Larry Fitzgerald or Calvin Johnson, neither who play for the niners, was useless.

if they wanted to throw the ball, then they should have lined Vernon Davis up out there and let him go one on one against either Pollard or a lb.

bottom line, the ravens held on to the lead and won….they deserved it..they had some great veterans who never won jack, like Matt Burk, Ed Reed, T-Sizzle, Anquain Boldin and even the notorious Ray Lewis(regardless of how you look at him)

the niners will be back…the secondary needs to get better…we need a better pass rush..the smith brothers(Aldin and Justin) dissapeared in the playoffs, no sacks….defensive coordinator Vic Fangio needs to improve on his playcalling too

Their second biggest issue to fix is their red zone playcalling. To have Kaepernick and Gore (James, too, though maybe his earlier fumble keeps him out of the mix late) and not run at all inside the 10 was a real head-scratcher.
