Let me get this straight. The family took their 30 pieces of silver and I’m supposed to care now exactly why? Just guessing, but I’d say that the deceased were themselves anything but choir boys, given the deep and tender regard they exhibited for their ‘dear departed’. What, now? Throw a little more stink up, now that you’ve p*ss*d away your blood money, in hopes that Ray will throw yu some more to shut up? Go away!

Who is “qualified?” Jurors? I mean, our peers? You or me? I’ve been a juror before. There’s no special qualification course before you have to take a week off of work for $40/day.

Tell me, what do you think about Casey Anthony? Because according to you, those who were “qualified” found her completely innocent of any wrongdoing aside from lying to police. So everyone should assume she’s now innocent?

What a frakin idiot. god god god, and the no cap is intentional. WHICH god? there are hundreds. If he’s talking about the one in the hand picked books of the “christian” bible, that god made many mistakes and even covered them up with mass murder and genocide (see “flood”). Enough of religious crap in our sports. You laugh and degrade Tebow for his beliefs and yet praise others. Sorry for the anti god rant but its nonsense to believe in a god that let THIS world get to this state.

More to the point, the question has never been answered as to what happened that nite and Ray Lewis’ TRUE involvement; hell I would settle for an account of his actions from his own mouth but we will never get one. So in the end he will go into the category of Ben Roethlisberger and whether or not he is a rapist if not convicted. More shining examples that money can get you out of trouble.

This is why other media members call you a gas bag, Florio. The only reason you are writing this article and waving your pitch fork is because you are taking advantage of the situation and making yourself seem like the moral authority. If Baltimore hadn’t won, this article would have never seen the light of day. But now all of a sudden in the wake of a deserving team’s moment, you decide to stand on your soap box and continue harping on an issue that occurred over a decade ago.
The case of these unsolved murders is a terrible one. And Ray Lewis is most likely hiding something, but that could range from him committing the murders to being a young stupid guy who got into a fight in which 2 people died and he didn’t want to tell on his friends right away.
None of us here know what really happened so let’s stop pretending we do. The facts are that he was found guilty of obstruction in exchange for testifying against his friends. Despite his testimony, Sweeting and Oakley were acquitted on the grounds of self-defense. Since that incident, Lewis has not had another transgression. Until something something new appears that indictes the man, the media needs to drop this story.
If he did commit the crime, Ray Lewis will ultimately be judged by God, karma or whatever you believe. But continuing to bring this story up does nothing positive for the victims or their families. It only fuels the fires of those who do not like Ray Lewis….which very well could be your agenda. But for now, get off your soap box and let the Ravens, their fans and the city of Baltimore have their moment.

To the people who are asking, where was this story last week: it has been front and center for the last couple of weeks primarily because Ray has put himself front and center, as not only a retiring superstar, but as a vessel of God. He brought all this negative attention on himself but is really too stupid a man to realize that.

The amount of information that is available about this case is more than abundant. Yet people still continue to try and label this Man. A murderer,and call this an unsolved homicide,when there was a ruling of SELF DEFENSE handed down that DID NOT involve Ray Lewis. The fact that the Homicide Detective on the case said that he should have never been Charged,routinely gets ignored all because of what? It pretty easy to see what drives most of The Ray Lewis Hate,and it’s not hid dancing,or his Bible Quoting.

Why dont you take a look at history books Florio and read about the race riots and lynching in this country? How many people were charged with those murders? Policeman , lawyers , doctors and even children attended . See the pictures of men and women smiling in front of a mangled up body. You should keep quiet Florio . What you are attempting to do is define Ray Lewis. That you do not get to do anymore. The prosecution offered a plea deal because they could NOT prove Ray stabbed anyone . If you can prove what happened go to the Fulton County DA and present your evidence .

If people really want to know more, simply google the transcripts from the trial… He testified against his two friends he was with that night… His friends attorneys never rebutted Lewis testimonies that he wasn’t telling the truth. One of the attorney’s of the two friends actually said, the real person who is suspected of doing the killing was never even brought into court… But rather then many folks on here doing your own research, you read an article and attempt to judge someone…. smh

Ray Lewis had his day in court, and the justice system determined what it determined. I believe that chapter is closed.

But what Florio really nails here is Lewis role as a false prophet. The problem with quoting scripture is that there is a lot of it, and you really need to be a biblical scholar to reference scripture without looking foolish. Ray Lewis looks foolish, and by extension makes a lot of true Christians look foolish.

if this situation was reverse and someone killed two of Rays family members or close friends he would be all bent out of shape if there was a person who was holding back info. Ray Lewis is seriously a sick human being……. and it makes me ill to see the media kiss this guys Butt all the time.

Justice for those murdered hasnt happened! If you just overlook that Atlanta situation, and the probable using of banned drugs, im sure he is a great guy. And if we set aside the whole killing and eating people, Jeffery Dahmer was a good guy too.

Ray, Ray, Ray. It was a bar fight and sometimes those involved get hurt or killed. Thats what happens at these incidents. You sure know what happened and who did what as far as involvement. How much was the limo driver “tipped” when Ray jumped into the limo and said “You didn’t see anything”????? Time and money go a long way to get statements and stories aligned. Ray paid the families money because he was not involved and out of the generosity of his new found haert and faith? LOL. I have watched and read interviews of Ray prior to the event and you know something? I don’t recall him talkiing about God & Jesus. Wonder why?

The paying of the families is similar to this criminal scenario: “I get accused of stealing money from my employer and questioned about it and deny it and have no idea who took the money. Everything points to me but I didn’t take the money but I will pay it back just to make it right. Sure, sure, pay money back just to help my employer and not be arrested. I got caught so out of the goodness of my heart and God, I will replace money I never took and get the employer off my back. Do ya get it here???

Hmmm. As Ravens fan I find this article very well done. Point, counter point! I too saw the conflict between his statements of how God uses people and what’s in the Bible. As a football player, Ray Lewis is simply one of the greatest! As a man before the murders in 2000, I can’t call it. As a man since that time, I still can’t call it. End the end, my take is none of us are in a position to pass any judgement on Ray Lewis’ involvement in that situation. It’s between him, God, and the legal system as to what the facts are. Bottom line: this is one of the best articles written on the issue! Well done. GO RAVENS!

Whether he’s guilty or innocent of the murders I have a hard time picturing Jesus wrestling Jim Nantz for a microphone, lying to the cops, ditching his blood stained clothes and having 6 children by 4 wives by the time he’s 35 years old.
