Steve Tasker the only breath of fresh air that broadcast, actually doing some investigative work to figure out the details of the power outage.

The delay made it painfully clear that cue cards and show writers make the “experts” appear a lot more intelligent then they are week in and week out in the scripted pregame and half time shows.

Listening to those panelt guys stumble through and over each other trying to sound relevant was painful…the banter at the local bar was more intelligent in that period.

Hopefully these average ratings means that Simms is relgated to the #3 team, and Nantz stick with golf.

TV’s would explode from the ratings if GB and NE faced each other. The ratings would probably be higher for this one, but we all know that most of the Raven “fans” didn’t even watch the regular season games. Just like 90% of the people trying to act all proud now only became fans 2 weeks ago.

Yesterday’s weather report for East Rutherford NJ/NY: 25 degrees with show showers and wind gusts up to 25 mph. Sitting in that outdoor stadium certainly will beat the heck out of a cozy sissy climate controlled super dome that had a 30 minute delay for electrical failure, It probably made the fans get more bathroom and beer breaks. Don’t worry, next year wil be for “real” football fans. Ha Ha!

apparently i wasn’t the only one who went to bed when the lights went out…only in new orleans.
why don’t they stick to gator huntin’ and turtle catchin’.

it also didn’t help that if you kept watching until the end it meant that you’d have to hear more incessent babbling about and from ray ‘white suit’ lewis.

Goodell has effectively destroyed the league. Two teams with some of the best “defenses” in the NFL gave up over 800 yds and 60+ pts. Good thing this wasn’t a Pats – GB super bowl or they’d be still playing.

Interesting note I found out these refs that were doing the Super Bowl never even did a conference championship game ever what does that tell ya these refs according to the NFL Referee Association they are not qualified to do the Super Bowl the “FIX WAS IN”.

Put it this way if Ray Lewis can get away with Murder so can the Ravens.

I actually turned it off at half time and at the black out. Turned it back on when I heard 49ers were coming back.

It was an okay Super Bowl. Commercials were bad. Halftime show was just awful. First half of the game was bad because the 49ers didnt show up.

Which part was rigged in favor of the Ravens?

The part where the power went out for 30 minutes, giving the 49′ers time to regroup after falling behind by 22 points, or the part where Haloti Ngata suffered a serious knee injury and missed most of the second half?

I think it’s really funny how 49′ers fans are bragging about how much better their offense looked in the second half, and how they coulda-shoulda-woulda won the game in a comeback, but they forget how Ngata being out hurt the run defense and gave Kaepernick all-day to throw.

And I’m not even a Ravens fan.

The vast majority of viewers of the Super Bowl are people watching inside the USA.

Outside of the U.S., there are several million American citizens living abroad who watch it, but that’s it, but that number nowhere near the 100+ million who watch it in the USA.

The NFL is a mostly American sport. The average German or Brazilian citizen isn’t watching it…
