Running QB injury prone is a myth

The majority of QB injuries result from sacks. The mobile quarterback more easily avoids sacks.

Google the myth of mobile QBs being more injury prone and the analysis is all there.

That being said, with the new breed of mobile QBs -

Kaep, Wilson, Luck, and RGIII; the biggest difference between them and there predecessors may be IQ. They are all impressively smart.

With all things being fairly equal athletically, the ability to read defenses and react to schemes is the deciding factor.

Are you guys serious and Bill Romonowski or however you say his name tried to blame Moss for them losing the game! If you were to look back at the game you could see that Moss was open on 3 potential touchdowns! The one Vern dropped in the 2nd half Moss burned the Ravens on a post, in the first quarter when Kaep overthrew Crabtree Moss was open in the back of the endzone and in the second half on a rollout to the right Moss had 1 on 1 on the backside and had inside position! If Kaep would have completed just one TD to moss, every one would be on Moss’s jockstrap! One more thing, after the Ravens failed that fake FG the next possession Moss made the CB fall on a comeback route and Kaep pump faked and then when he tried to throw it, it was too late. So before you try to blame Moss look more in depth!

Maybe Moss could have given more effort and made a difference on the pass, but her certainly could have tried harder to get off the block and tackle to guy. Oh I forgot, the self proclaimed greatest reciever of all time does not do things like that.

2 catches for what 40 yards?

Moss could do great stuff, but he can become such a non factor in a game, or games, or seasons. Not how I define GREATNESS.

Rice, AD, Payton, Chris Carter, guys who were/are a great talent and always give great effort are examples of GREATNESS.

Lets be real. That was a HORRIBLE throw. That ball was so high & off I doubt Moss even thought the throw was for him. Let alone react to it. And don’t forget earlier in the game a tipped ball by Crabtree cost him a td. But I’m tired of micro managers blaming ANYTHING on the offense. If you have a super bowl D then 29 points should be enough to win the game.

Alex wudent have got down 28-6. Alex unlike kap wudent have been as nervous as kap was. Secondly Alex have brung this team back plenty of times. 1st and goal at the 5… Alex wudda got them in there.

Alex Smith also wouldn’t have brought them back from 28-6.. I love Alex but let’s be real here. Most of Kaep’s success was do to being able to rifle the ball in through the zones. Reed would’ve torn Alex apart if he were trying to feed the ball in there to Davis

A week ago I would have said.. “What do you expect Moss to do with that throw?”

But, after the revelation that he is _THE BEST EVER_ I expected more of an effort. What would Jerry Rice have done? Being only second best to Moss, probably even less.. but I’m still curious.

I’ve never liked Moss, but the criticism of him in this case is simply bizarre. He’s running his route when the ball sails not just five yards over his head but also behind him. There’s no way to adjust to a ball thrown that poorly.

I can imagine it would be tough to follow Joe Montana and Steve Young. Must be killing him to know that he was the first 49ers Quarterback in 31 years to throw an interception in a Superbowl game and blow the 49ers perfect Superbowl record. It was too much for a kid only starting his 1oth game.

He’s not the first QB that is big and fast with a canon arm. Daunte Culpepper shredded his knee and career on one play. Big Ben hasn’t stayed healthy the last two years either. Big helps, but doesn’t make you invincible. He can still get hurt, unfortunately. I hope he doesn’t, but to think he’s invincible is ignorant. Big people play on defense too.

A stand up guy. The issue isn’t really whether Moss could have caught it. The issue really is whether a guy wanting to win a Super Bowl would have instinctively at least made an attempt at it–especially if he’s the greatest WR of all time.

He slowed down coming across the field because he was wide open in a HUGE hole in the zone. Slowing down allowed him to stay open longer so that the QB could get the ball to him.

It’s called smart route running.

Moss had no prayer of catching that pass and the criticism of him, as it usually is, is completely undeserved.

He ran a great route. He was wide open in a huge hole in the defense’s zone and had that ball been even remotely close, he would have caught it. I think fans and commentators just use Moss as an easy target when things go wrong. I’ve seen the guy take heat a thousand times like this and only in a couple of cases was it ever deserved.

Kap trew that dam pass way to high stevie wonder cud see thst. Stop tryn to relieve kap of blame. He played likw trash the first 30 min. He missed randy wide open twice, he used up 2 timeouts in the 3rd because he couldn’t get his team lined up right. He cost the niners an extra possession later on in that game.

Depending on the line of the last leg of that route, it could have been 6 feet over Mosses head, or 2 feet over his head. As the route was run(or stopped) it was uncatchable. How was the route supposed to be run?

He’s lucky actually because of a pissed off Cary Williams was able to keep hold of the ball, that’s two interceptions that would of been completely his fault.

His inexperience showed this game.

The pass was too high, but if you’re the “greatest receiver of all time,” you should catch that pass.

I know Cris Carter, Marvin Harrison, and Larry Fitzgerald would’ve caught it. It wasn’t a million feet over his head. It was very catchable. At least knock it to the ground!

It was a bad pass, but it happens. Kaepernick still played a very strong game. I don’t think Moss had a chance at that particular ball but I still didn’t see the effort from him in the game. It’s a shame because he put together a good season as a role player before his poor Super Bowl.
