Longtime Chiefs guard Will Shields was one of the final 15 modern-era candidates for election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame this year, but he was eliminated before the cut to 10 finalists for the second year in a row.
Shields will talk to Erik Kuselias on Wednesday’s installment of Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network about coming that close to election and falling short once again. We’ll find out his thoughts on the five men who were elected this year as well as whether he believes that he’ll wind up getting elected in the coming years.
Mike Florio and Pete Najarian will also be on hand to talk about all the biggest stories from around the league in this first week in many months without a game on the schedule to look forward to on Sunday. They’ll also set the stage for the offseason for the four teams in the AFC South as part of the division-by-division look at the league.
It all gets started at 5 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
