That article doesn’t answer the question. A 56-year-old man had groin pain and it was traced to a labral tear. It also cited a report that 22% of athletes with groin pain had a labral tear. Nothing in there suggests that having sports hernia surgery dooms you to a labral tear within three years.

I’m pretty sure a quadruple bypass wouldn’t slow him down. I’m more concerned about what shape Sully will be in after 3-4 months off due to his surgery.

This story is incorrect. While AD did have the surgery performed in Philly, it was actually the Green Man who performed the procedure.
