Getty ImagesCam Cameron, the offensive coordinator whose firing in Baltimore corresponded with an offensive turnaround that led the Ravens to a championship, has landed a new job.
Cameron is the new offensive coordinator at LSU, Bruce Feldman of CBS reports. Cameron and LSU head coach Les Miles have a close relationship and were assistants together at Michigan from 1987 to 1993.
LSU has struggled on offense the last two years under offensive coordinator Greg Studrawa, who will reportedly move back to coaching LSU’s offensive line.
Although Cameron has been in the NFL for the last decade, he has a wealth of experience in college as an assistant at Michigan and as head coach at Indiana.

Can’t do any worse.
Thank You… FINALLY a real coordinator, not dumb Les calling plays..
OH MY GOD! Passing game, here we come
He sucked as Head Coach in Miami, worst ever.
… and LSU just signed the number two QB prospect in the nation.
Don’t get too excited. This is still Miles game to micromanage.
Here we go . . .
Well, well, well … although I’m a diehard Steelers fan, I’ve been suggesting the Ravens fire Cameron for their own good since 2010. Now they’ve fired him (resulting in a championship for our arch rivals) and he’ll be racking up in the SEC West against my Crimson Tide. What a man does in the pros isn’t necessarily indicative of his college talents … as Saban has demonstrated. This will be interesting.
Anyone who has met Cam knows he is a man of character. Few better. Congratulations Cam and LSU.
Cam Cameron will do fine at the college level but as we Ravens fans were saying for at least 2 years; Cam Cameron didn’t utilize his all his players in their best suited roles!
I don’t get the excitement for college football.
Funny, with Cam Cameron the Ravens offense blew. ONce he was gone, it soared…LSU fans are happy?
that dude will always be know to me as the clown that picked Ted ginn with the 9th pick in the draft and set the dolphins back 3 years as their head coach. not to mention he only won 1 game that year. still shaking my head over that pick.
The Ravens fire him and go on to win the Super Bowl. The Dolphins fire him and hire Tony Sparano who was just fired by the Jets. The Dolphins have gone backwards! Their lone win in ’07, ironically was to the Ravens who ended up firing Billick who won a Super Bowl!
And the carousel continues with one exception. The Dolphins need to FIRE JEFF IRELAND, the MORON GM!
SWEET…
