Five of the best and most famous NFL players of the last two decades have joined together in a public service announcement for gun violence prevention.

Deion Sanders, Emmitt Smith, Marshall Faulk, Michael Irvin and LaDainian Tomlinson appear in an ad for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, an organization whose Demand a Plan campaign is designed to put pressure on Congress to pass reforms of America’s gun laws.

The “gun culture” in professional football came under a great deal of scrutiny after Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot and killed his girlfriend and then shot and killed himself during the 2012 season. At that time, there were estimates that upwards of 80 percent of NFL players were gun owners.

But some former players say there are too many guns on the streets. Here’s their ad:
