1st time I’ve ever heard that. One of the few cities located in the middle of downtown, surrounded by hotels and bars. Mass public transportation system connecting the entire city without blocking traffic. 4th most hotels in the United States.

The stadium itself has had $416 million invested in it since Katrina. The structure is still in amazingly good shape, and the area around it is in great shape. It is still one of the loudest stadiums in the NFL, has had more history inside it then any stadium in the United States, and has pretty damn good amenities for a stadium built in 1971.

I read a report much earlier this week that said the programming was, indeed, the problem. I can’t find that now for the life of me. It also said that this was on SuperDome circuits, downstream from Entergy’s.

If anything, the lingering amount of blighted homes may be at issue but, nothing to do with the condition of the electrical grid, phone grid, cable grid, transportation system, etc. is attributable to Katrina.
