One would imagine that with the crop of QBs in this draft you’ve got to cut the cord with Cassel, let Stanzi go through the offseason as the starter and see what he can do. No clue why this didn’t happen last year. You’ve gotta give the young guy a shot as he is more or less an unknown quantity in the NFL… Cassel and Quin are known.

Are there better QBs available on the market, yes, but none of them are franchise type guys. Roll with Stanzi, maybe you hit the jackpot and maybe you don’t, but that at least lines you up for a decent pick next year again.

Gotta imagine the best course of action is to trade down/out of the first round and collect a wad of picks for 2013/2014 and start building.

Compared to how the last two coaches in KC handled media questions, Reid is almost sharing too much information. Every Crennel interview was filled with “I don’t know” and “I have no idea”.

KC has an ok defense. So why aren’t they trying to pull a Denver from two years ago and go grab Tebow from the Jets for a bag of footballs and some foot long hot dogs and go all run all the time with JC and JC on the field (you know Jamal Charles and Jesus on the football field).

First of all, just the fact that Cassel’s making 7.5 million, now throw in the fact that he got replaced by Brady friggin Quinn.

What do you want him to say at this point? Until the free agency and the draft is done he has to consider one of these guys may be his QB for the season – at which point he will say it was his plan all the time and he has 100% faith in Cassel/Quinn.
