Childress-to-Chiefs still a possibility

Andy Reid is a month into his job, and has already hired 17 coaches, but there’s still a possibility he adds more.

According to Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star, there’s still a chance the Chiefs add Brad Childress to the staff.

Childress interviewed a month ago, though Reid hired Doug Pederson as his offensive coordinator.

But Childress may still come aboard as some degree of consultant or assistant to the head coach. Having him around can’t hurt, as Reid’s original quarterbacks coach in Philadelphia might help with what’s arguably the league’s worst quarterback depth chart.

Not a KC fan, but haven’t the Chiefs suffered enough? Bringing in Col Klink would just be like kicking a man while he was down.

Leagues worst quarterback depth see Browns.

Are the Cardinals no longer in the league? Kolb. Skelton. Lindley. The defense rests.

League’s worst quarterback depth chart? Jets fans disagree.

If I was on ESPN’s Rapid Fire, and Brad Childress’s name came up, I already know my word to describe him:

Say all you want to about Childress but he was the head coach of a team in the conference championship game 3 years ago, can you say that about your teams coach.

personally, i hope kc wastes their first pick reaching for a quarterback like the kid from west virgina. andy couldn’t design an offense to take advantage of vick’s athletic ability, even when it became apparent that vick could never run reid’s pass heavy west coast offense.

andy and chilly are plodders. not very quick on their feet when it comes to adjusting or making a new plan when the first one isn’t working.

and you can believe this, if the run game doesn’t work by the first or second sequence of plays, it will be abandoned (regardless of the extra pressure this puts on the defense to go back out after a three and out that took less than a minute of game time). and when it doesn’t pan out, andy will stand at the pulpit and say he’s gotta do a better job………..

Childress is a really good offensive coach.I hope the Chiefs hire him.

You can argue all day over what team has the worst depth at QB, but Kansas City is the only place cheering their own QB’s concussion. Says something…

Childress could be a programmatic non-fit in KC.

    Chilly is a cranky man

It looks to me like Brad has enjoyed a few hundred Chilly dogs. Is the chow in Cleveland that good, or does Reid demand his Yes Men all wear the same size shorts?

Here’s Childress’s play book in MN: hand off AP x2, check down to shiancoe or Tahi

Then maybe Favre will come to KC

Does anyone else love how it looks like Childress is running in that picture? Like he’s jumping at the chance to be with Andy again, lol

Chilly can bring his “kick ass” offense to KC. Just when KC couldn’t get any worse.

Chilly to KC, it just keeps getting better, lol.
