Bush & Miller in the same backfield would fantastic. Get rid of Thomas, he has played in maybe a dozen games in two years. The guy is injury prone.

Reggie deserves another two years with the Phins; 2 @ 3.7 each with additional incentives. A thousand yard season can get him an additional $250,000. A dozen TD’s another $250.000. Six hundred yards receiving $200,000. Two hundred carries $150,000…and come up with more.

I am confused why he is confused. Jeff Ireland is making the correct call when he has a RB he just stole in last year’s draft and is capable of giving the 61 yds/game or better that Reggie Bush just gave. It’s a No Brainer. It would be different if we were talking about AP, but were not. This is the Business of the NFL 101. It just happened in NY(Giants) and will also happen in Dallas this year. Running Backs do not have the leverage they once had because the NFL is a passing league now and the majority of backfields are by committee. Only the Elite RBs have some leverage but that only depends if your team is competitive and winning. Example: MJD had zero leverage last year after winning the rushing title, but were 4-12. Bush has zero leverage. Only (2) 100 yd games and didn’t reach 1000 yds. A Big deal is made of Contract Years for a reason.

Sick to death of seeing bush dance behind the line and lose 2 or 3 yards ! for every positive run he has 5 bad ones .I am ready to see him go .Bring in jackson from the rams. At least he will run in the hole or make one himself.

Im confused why reggie bush is confused…aging running back whos shown he can be a solid change of pace back with no inside game coming off knee injury…rbs are a dime a dozen now, but youll still find work reggie.

I would love to see Reggie stay and if he does I would love to see him used more in the passing game. That being said I don’t know if he is worth 5 mil +/year. There are a lot of other needs and other FA’s that need to be retained and signed.

Reggie knows what the deal is…Ireland and company are gonna offer him a lowball contract and allow him to see if he can get more money somewhere else. As a Dolphin fan I’d hate to see him go but as a Hurricanes fan I’d love to see Lamar Miller get some starting time. #finsup

Bad move by the dolphins. Bush is one of their few big playmakers. Not just that, Tannehill would be helped by having a familiar face at running back. Rookies need familiarity. Someone he can trust when things get tough. Someone he works good with, that understands his emotions on the football field. I thought Bush was that guy. Guess not.
One thing Bush should keep in mind, there are 10-15 other teams that can use his services.

Lamar Miller is going to fill Reggie’s spot just fine. Miller is bigger and faster then Reggie. And yes, Reggie can never stay healthy for a full season.

Reggie is a good leader, a hard worker, and a good teammate. However, he is not an every down back as he portrays to be. He wants to be paid like a feature back. He simply cannot take the pounding. Therein lies the problem.

Reggie may not return to the Dolphins but as a big Phins fan I think we can all agree he was nothing but class in his two years with the team…hard worker, team guy, and no trouble off the field. And not as much Hollywood in him as people tend to think. Best wishes, Reggie.

and not one media person can find a bush quote where he says he wants even the money that hes worth. Not one quote. The media is full of it and they are just guessing.

They seem to forget miller and thomas had ample chance to steal the starting HB reigns last year from Bush and failed.

We would be a bad team to let Bush walk.Im floored people think $5 million is too much but you would gladly pay a WR with the SAME stats $10 million or even an avg cb.Its beyond me

Make no mistake about it… As a Jets fan the best weapon the Dolphins had last year was Bush… before he was injured he carried the entire offense. The only reason the Jets beat the Dolphins was because Bush was taken out of the game and the other RBs could not come close to his production.

The Dolphins are run by idiots who think they are Geniuses if they think Tanninghill can win games on his own because he is NOT even the best QB on the team. He needs time to improve and getting rid of bush would be a big mistake. he is the fastest rb on the team and the best offensive player they have.

whats wrong with you people. You would gladly pay double for a diva wr or a broke avg cb, but you wont even pay half that at $5 million for 1300 yards and 8 td’s. No wonder we suck. Fans are ignorant .

$5 million is cheap for a 27 year old with those stats. And thats 2 years in 2 different systems where he had same stats on a bad offense. He could be even better if we actually had another weapon on offense but you fools want to toss him to a contender

To be fair, EVERY team
“…has younger, cheaper alternatives…”
at virtually EVERY position.

And if cheap rooks could always could provide sufficient production, vet talent wouldn’t really exist.

The trick is figuring out where corners can
be cut. No doubt the Dolphins can pay
someone less…but will their offense decline?
