It may not be part of his contract, but it should be. Talking the talk …… and still getting coordinator positions. This guy has to have a boatload of incriminating evidence from the one of the owner meetings.

There’s no need for a contract modification to keep Rob’s mouth shut. Sean Payton carries more weight and respect than Jason Garrett any day.

The fascination with the TV camera seeing his over the top reaction play after play, has built his overall perception and reputation up just as much, if not more, then the words he actually speaks for bulletin board material.

Hahahaha. I highly doubt their is a stipulation in his contract but I don’t doubt that the owner and Sean Payton told him if he wants the job, then he has to be quiet and not fill the air with his stench of unearned arrogance.

If only Rob Ryan’s bite was as big as his bark. If his defense was top 5 year in and year out he could say whatever he wants and no one would bat an eye at his words. But his defense usually ranks somewhere in the bottom half of the NFL, hence why his words seem to be a distraction. Same goes for Rex. When you’re going to AFC championship games and talk it everyone thinks you’re cool, they want you as their coach. When you talk it and go 6-10, now it’s a distraction. The amount of Rob’s talking to the media and how his words are perceived will be dictated by performance. And Rob has a lot of work to do with that Saints defense, so he might want to keep quiet this upcoming season while he tries to fix that mess!!

But trust me, under Coach Payton…there will be some unwritten rules regarding Ryan’s interaction with the media…& you can bet you will see less bravado from him this Season.
