so teams cant sign free agents til march 12th? but im confused how are players signing with teams now?
------------------------
Released players are allowed to interview with other teams...But free agents for 2013 class wont begin till March 12th. Because those free agents are still consider as the member of the team that they are with.

For example...Dwayne Bowe is a free agent. But teams cant contact him till March 12th. If they do then the Chiefs find out them they could file a tampering claim against the team who tried to contact that player

another example. The Kansas City Chiefs cant contact Greg Jennings till March 12th. If they do. Then the Packers could file a tampering claim against the Chiefs and the Chiefs could end up losing draft picks for doing so.

I think Gilyard was willing to do anything the Eagles asked him last year. He wasn't a huge impact in the stats department, but he showed up and was willing to get his nose dirty on special teams. One of the few bright spots on that team in my opinion.
