The Jets kicked off their offseason by firing General Manager Mike Tannenbaum and we’ll hear his take on what went wrong with the team on Pro Football Talk on NBC Sports Network on Monday.

Erik Kuselias will speak to Tannenbaum about the skid over the last two seasons that took Tannenbaum from the AFC Championship Game to unemployment, going from what he’d do differently to what he’s learned from the experience. We’ll also get Tannenbaum’s thoughts on the coming offseason from his new perch as an observer.

Mike Florio, Ross Tucker and Shaun King will also be on hand for the daily look at the biggest news stories in the league. We’ll also be continuing out offseason previews with a look at the needs of the four AFC West teams.

It all gets underway at 5 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.

I can sum up the Tannenbaum interview real quick for everybody. He still doesn’t understand why the Tebow circus was a bad idea, had no sense that Sanchez was getting worse, and doesn’t understand that hiring an OC with little to no experience at that position made no sense.

AFC West 2013 preview is very easy. The Peyton Manning led Broncos will go 14-2. The surging Chargers and Chiefs will both be improved in 2013 and will fight it out for a wildcard. The Raiders will be the Raiders and finish about 6-10 or 5-11.
