Last year they went 10-7 including playoffs. It was a nice turnaround and taking the extension now is a nice little reward for him.

But to say he deserves a big contract extention after one horrific and one decent season is a bit over the top.

Hopefully the Wilfs learned their lesson when they gave Childress an extension after one good season (thanks to Favre), only to have to fire him the next year. Let Frazier prove that 2012 wasn’t a fluke and he’s actually building something here, THEN give him a contract extension at the end of the ’13 season. If things fall apart, then they can cut ties and move on without the large buyout hanging over their heads.

Vikings 10-6 Wild Card, from 3-13 to splitting with the Packers and the Bears and taking two from the Lions and if I’m not mistaken were in the playoff’s last year, just the way he carries himself on and off the field he should of gotten the extension. Reminds me of Tony Dungy. I think they found their next coach for the decade.

The team has needed a coach like him for several years. He has to be one of the most non-egotistical coaches that walk the sidelines. He puts the players (say team), owners, and fans above his own interests. I have a lot of respect for him and you can tell the players do too. I hope the owners see that, too.
