APThe Bills continued shuffling out veteran defensive players, cutting cornerback Terrence McGee.
The team announced the move Thursday, after cutting linebacker Nick Barnett and safety George Wilson earlier this week.
“Terrence has been a contributor to the Bills organization for 10 years and we thank him for his efforts on the field and off,” general manager Buddy Nix said. “We wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Knee problems landed McGee on injured reserve in November, marking the third straight year he struggled with injuries (playing 22 games the last three seasons).
But the writing was on the wall when they used their first-rounder on Stephon Gilmore a year ago, and McGee’s days were probably numbered if he would have stayed healthy this year.

T McGee.. Prior to the injuries was one of the best return men in the league! Best wishes and good luck sir
Getting rid of all depth… Unreal
Next on the list:
1. Kelsay
2. Fitz
3. Fred
thanks for the effort guys but you are no longer needed please place the 20 mil we would be paying you in the box to the right when exiting the building.
Thank You
You can’t hide forever Chris Kelsay…your time is soon.
Wow, the Bills are ridding of a bunch of fan favorites. McGee is not what he used to be, but I believe he can still play nickel D.
Man, i remember a few years ago when he was at %100, he was quite the player! its shame he had so many injuries the past seasons. one of 3 bills left who’ve been on the team for 10+ seasons, best of luck to him!
This is not a problem. The Bills have Mario.
kind of a bummer to see a long tenured Bill go but he’s be injured for like 3 years.
If they wanna clear up cap space, why don’t they just cut Fitzpatrick?
rbanks51 – haha lol yeah he been playin hide n seek wit da turk for a few yrs now.
Foolish sentimentality can no longer be a consideration with the Bills. They’ve failed horribly for over a decade. An overhaul is in order. They can do better, but cannot do worse. Something had to change, and McGee was over the hill two years ago.
Good player 5 years ago but his time was up

Agreed on the first two but why cut a player who is really good. He is not making nearly as much as the others so why cut an effective, team leader ? Especially a team that is now lacking veteran leadership ?
Cut Fred? And have Tashard Choice be your #2 RB in a league that increasingly relies on 2 running back systems? Are you stupid?
Bills fans are big on sentimentality and the fact that someone has been a “longtime fan favorite”. This guy had been injured for the last 3 years in a row. The Bills are cleaning house of players who have not contributed to a recent winning season. This is what new coaching staffs do. And Freddy Jackson is a 32 year old running back with a recent injury history.
Please just cut Fitz and Kelsay immediately if not sooner!
They’re not going to cut Fred just yet. Kelsay and Fitz? That seems inevitable.
backs are a dime a dozen choice isnt under contract either. u can find a roll playing back for half the price

Because his contract may be outrageous considering his production but cutting him would only clear up $500,000
“Fan favorites”??? The same players who have been on the team for losing season after losing season? Time to cut um out and make changes.
