And as for the entry by h8dansnyder regarding his tickets going up 40% without warning or notice–are you dumb enough to think that these tickets would never go up in price. they havent had an increase in 7 season and are still one of the lowest priced tickets in the NFL. this is all explained in the season ticket invoice that you recieved and should have read (i.e. your warning and notice)
if you think the prices are high, drop your tickets so one of the 120,000 people on the waiting list can get them, go up the road to Baltimore and pay considerably more per ticket and and also be forced to purchase a PSL for which you get absolutly nothing

I have been on fedex field many times. early in the season it is in absolute great condition. the field in the playoff game was sub par, but so was Denvers field and no one is whining about that. football was played on real grass for years before the introduction of “Astro-turf” and probably had sloppy conditions at times I’m sure in the history of the NFL there have been injuries that can be attributed the field conditions–and on all kinds of field turf.
p.s. RGIII’s injury occured due to hit in the Ravens game when his leg was in the air. field conditons did not play a factor in it

Hopefully Redskins football will always be played on real grass and an open stadium. That’s how football is supposed to be played, not in some warm and cozy dome with artificial grass.

Plus, the Skins made it to playoffs with virtually no pass rush and will be gettting back their top 2 pass rushers off injury: Orakpo and Carriker. Plus ohter key injured players back like Fred Davis, Helu, Tanard Jackson and others in the secondary. This just the beginning of major success for Washington.

Sort stupid in theory but the skins won’t even be. 500 next season they have a crappy secondary barely any cap space a hurt QB who is a stud and no good Draft picks??? Tell me again how they can improve?

I don’t care either but seriously even with RG3 coming back maybe mid season or an little sooner he will have to pass with timing. Hes only shown he can be accurate but doesn’t read coverage and teams couldn’t stop the pistol if they load the box he hasn’t proven the ability to pass under those conditions. Hate me all you want you know it’s the truth.

NFC had a down year you can get expect to win with a back up QB regularly in that division sorry won’t happen.

Fix your turf and save your QB for 2014 maybe then you can be an legitimate SB team rush him back and he becomes a wasted talent! And you would have mortgaged the future just to give your hopes up.

Most HS and College programs play on GRASS, it’s where they develop into great players. Some play on turf but FEW. As stated above 22% higher occurrence of leg(knee ankle Achilles) injuries on turf. Who should sue who? Technology has nothing to do with this debate. Stay with the grass and the name

Football has ALWAYS been intended to be played on GRASS. You can’t grow grass in a dome hence turf was introduced. Field turf is a better option than rolled carpet.. But GRASS is always best. Ever see a good mud bowl? Injuries occur at a 22% higher rate on field turf. Fact… As a football traditionalist I hope the Skins STAY with grass for good. Ever hear of grass toe? Nope, but a myriad of players careers have ended due to turf toe. Hmmmm. Stick with grass and RE SOD in your bye week. HAIL!

RG3 hurt his knee on a scramble when he got hit in the knee by a Raven’s player, not because of the turf. Agreed the Redskins should improve their grass but keep natural grass, that is real outdoor football the way it should be. Btw, I am offended by this idea… it is blatant discrimination against natural grass. Hail!

Clemmons tore his ACL. RG3 tore his LCL. Please stick to reporting the facts.

RG3 did not tear his ACL in 2012. He did have it re-reconstructed once Dr. Andrews was performing the surgery on the LCL. Andrews decided to repair an old repair job from 2009 that a lesser Doctor performed. It was a cleanup job, one that athletes can recover from more quickly b/c there was not a full tear in the ACL or trauma to that tendon. It was a surgical procedure to strengthen it, not to repair a tear.

Again, lets stick with the facts please.

Rodger Goodell will not demand owners to spend money, because he works for them. that is the worst conflict of interest when it comes to creating regulations in the NFL. that’s why players have such strict rules and the owners don’t. would you demand your boss to do something he doesn’t want to do when he has power over you?

Field turf isn’t a perfect surface either and plenty of players say it’s harder on the knees. Maybe not a great idea when you have a QB coming off major surgery?

There is no evidence that field turf is safer than a well maintained grass field. (The key here is, “well maintained.”) And field turf is certainly not more expensive over time, so this has nothing to do with money – at least not in that sense.

The Redskins back to the days of RFK Stadium have always thought that a worn grass field was a home field advantage at playoff time because so few visiting teams play on it, so it also has nothing to do with the Shanahans. (RFK was part sand throughout many playoff runs.)

That said, if Snyder is going to try to make every last buck by renting the place out to every Tom, Dick and Harry High School, the team has got to resod at some point during the season to prevent unsafe conditions.

Lil’ Danny belt buckle doesn’t want to spend the money to maintain the field. The Steelers had similar problems and they now resod late in the season and have actually resodded twice in Playoff years. As for Price hikes – you had to see that coming as soon as the Washington “should be renamed” won games down the stretch. Danny-boy sees more dollars in RGIII-picks and needs to take advantage of it before his next career ending knee injury on his crappy field.

i don’t like field turf at all. i know very little about sod, but my understanding is it is relatively inexpensive. with nfl football being a nearly 10billion dollar industry, what is stopping a team from changing their sod every couple weeks?

What really is happeneing is they use the field for soccer, college ball and rugby in between games. Lets not forget stupid concerts like Kenny Chesney. Any way to make a buck.

I know for a fact that Mr. Snyder was super pissed about the RG3 injury. I will be the field will not be like that again.

No no no no. Soccer isn’t played on American turf because it has unnatural rolls and bounces fir a round ball on the ground. There is approved turf that most teams will play on, though grass is ideal. Round ball on ground is not a football problem.
