ProFootballTalk: How legitimate is RGIII’s chance?

It’s being reported Robert Griffin III will have a “legitimate chance” to start for the Redskins during Week 1. Can we expect an Adrian Peterson-like return from the second-year QB?

    He can do it. Why not? I’m sure his genetics are great, and you know he’s going to work to his utmost ability.

    if he:
    - keeps disregarding his future
    - keeps making poor protection decisions
    - continues to push things in dangerous ways
    - and the Redskins continue to not care about their investment…

    then, sure … he can come back for the first game

    Luck will be in the league at franchise level 5 years after RG3 has been medically retired because he won’t stop being a college scrambler…

    RGIII is a once in a generation talent. He, the Redskins, and our fans should all want him to take as much time as he needs to fully recover. To heck with 2013 if need be. RGIII could be leading us to contend for Super Bowls well past 2020. HTTR!!!
