I really find it amusing that a team that was 10 yards from the super bowl is dismissed as not being a threat while a list of “contenders” above contained teams atl beat and some they destroyed. You list the aints with their league worst defense. Just remember this it takes a little luck sometimes to win the super bowl. It took peyton 7 years and this years champ would have been one and done of rahim moore wasnt an idiot.

Oh my God these Saints fans….you know for a while I stopped caring about you guys at all, maybe it was your 7-9 season? I don’t know. But only a Saints fan can think they’re gonna make a run when you just went 7-9, your team is an absolute cap hell, and you have the highest pay roll in the league (and still couldn’t pull off a winning season). I mean sure you got Sean Payton back and you signed Rob Ryan, both very key to your team. But seriously? And Tony already said IF he comes back he only wants to play with Atlanta. Even if he left us, how are you gonna pay him? I mean I guess you could cut half your team…

He should really find a contender to go to because he won’t win anything with a team with no defense (falcons).

Remember when people thought Gates was comparable to Tony and might pass his numbers up? Yeah, that was some funny ish right there.

PS: kathy, he’ll always be a Chief, and will walk into the hall first ballot as nothing other than a Chief.

unfortunately if he decides to come back..he will only come back to the Failcons and fail again with another broken heart never being able to win a championship. The Super Bowl is in New Jersey and Failcants are a dome team…forget about Failcants desire to win it all next year because it will not happen…He should retire and call it a great career while he’s healthy and enjoy being with his family

He will go in as a Chief no matter what he accomplishes in ATL. It wasn’t his fault He had to endure Gunther Cunningham and Herm Edwards as a couple of his coaches. And based on what Pioli did, he was right to go to ATL.

Still awesome to see the old man show those kids how to do it.

I know the guy has been wearing a Falcons jersey for the last 4 seasons, and i’m not trying to take anything from the Falcons fans, i know they love him, But Tony is a Chief and if he finishes anywhere it should be in Kansas City. It’s a team that means so much to him and it would be nice to have his leadership as the team begins to build. Nobody faults him for leaving. The guy deserved a shot at a superbowl and KC couldn’t give him that. But Atlanta wont either, not with the way the NFC is stacked right now, (Seattle, 49ers, Green Bay, Giants, Redskins, NO will be back and running, Bears, ect..).

A follow up on my earlier post. I wasn’t serious about his signing with the Saints. But, Falcon fans are sadly mistaken if you think the team you have now will win a Superbowl. It’s this simple, in order for a dome team to make it to the Superbowl they’ve got to have home field advantage througout the playoffs. The Falcons have had the twice and haven’t gotten it done. Next year I promise you, you won’t have homefield. The best chance you had with this team to get to the superbowl was last year. It’s only going to go downhill from here.

Any team with a gun slinging QB would be a good option for Gonzalez. Its not about speed or height with him, Its about his hands. He is hands down the best pass-catching TE in the league.

Research? The article says he has that option because he is a free agent. Furthermore, if you are into research then you should know that a comment made during an emotional time after a heated game is not usually a credible source. I just hope he does not pull a Brett Favre and keep everyone guessing for publicity. (although my theory was that Favre hated training camp so he would always delay a decsision until it was over).
