Gronk sheds cast

Rob Gronkowski AP

We’ve seen how Rob Gronkowski parties when he’s wearing a cast.  He can now go back to partying without one.

Gronkowski has shed the cast that was covering his re-broken forearm, an injury suffered nearly five weeks ago during a divisional win over the Texans.

No cast.  It’s been a lot of weeks now; now I’m just in the rehab part of it,” Gronkowski told the team’s official website, via ESPNBoston.com.  “Getting it better.  Getting it stronger.  Getting it totally healthy now.  Just taking it day by day, basically, with the rehab.  Week by week.  Once I’m 100 percent healthy, I’m definitely going to grind, hit it, hit the upper body, get stronger, and get ready for the season.”

Though the cast has limited his ability to lift weights, cardio hasn’t been a problem.

And he celebrates by taking his shirt off and twirling it like a rally towel.

Can we please hearing about everything this rather unintelligent person does? I’d rather watch Ice Road Truckers.

Do you mean by “shed”, that he was dancing in a drunken stupor and the cast exploded off his arm in a Hulk-like awesomeness?

  12. thegreatgabbert says: Feb 15, 2013 11:22 PM

It was interfering with his drinking arm.

  13. lapsncaps says: Feb 15, 2013 11:24 PM

Did he at least spike it?

  14. northbynw27 says: Feb 15, 2013 11:38 PM

Imagine how much higher that tab would have been in Vegas if he had two hands.

  15. hockeyflow33 says: Feb 16, 2013 12:03 AM

Did you mean shirt instead of cast?

  16. virusgvr says: Feb 16, 2013 12:32 AM

I wonder if Dan Patrick is really gonna end up with the cast. He asked for it…. Will Gronk deliver?

  17. barroomhero80 says: Feb 16, 2013 2:05 AM

    @virusgvr I doubt he’ll delver

  18. TheWizard says: Feb 16, 2013 4:16 AM

I want to see if this guy can make a full season.

Doesn’t matter how good he can play – if he ain’t playing.

No more cast on if I were gronk I tie one one buddy. Let her rip and dance the night away.

  20. mancave001 says: Feb 16, 2013 7:46 AM

Hadn’t actually seen the video. It’s hilarious. The description appears inaccurate. He didn’t “body slam” anyone, nor did he bear weight on the arm. He also didn’t “land hard” on the forearm.

    Party On.

Shockey has a spot saved next to him on the couch. He thought he could keep going out and acting stupid without it affecting his health and career too. Just a matter of time before he has company…

lol….this coming from a Jets fan? I mean, fans are allowed to talk smack because there are plenty of Pats fans that run their mouths. But really? From a Jets fan? Haven’t the Jets “failed” for the past 40+ years?

  23. logast says: Feb 16, 2013 8:36 AM

And those of you posting negative comments here certainly wouldn’t wank Gronk on your favorite team, right?

  24. qdog112 says: Feb 16, 2013 9:30 AM

Will he continue to keep dancing with other guys?

Yeah, too bad we didn’t have Sancheze, we’d be so much better off!

My team drafted him once. His name was Jeremy Shockey, and the resemblence is striking

Nothing’s stopping you from doing just that. These types of comments are so silly.

To the Jets fan: no most of us Pats fans are perfectly capable of placing blame on TB when he doesn’t play well. Naturally there are some fans who are too homerific about him but I know your fanbase has those same type fans about Sanchez who hasn’t accomplished one seventy second of what TB has.

It will break again. Brittle bones caused by muscle building proteins. Tim Krumrie was the poster child for that.

    ====================================

Brady’s biggest “failure” is a bigger accomplishment than anything the Jets have done in past 44 years.
