The Vikings secondary sucked for a reason, granted he is only 1/4th of that reason but still, the guy could hardly cover my grandmother in a wheelchair. I thought Ried would know better but maybe the Chiefs are really that bad.

Meh. He’s very average. That being said, there was a time where he was the best safety on the Vikings roster, not like that’s saying much. He’s a heck of a human being though. Wishing him all the best in KC.

Good signing by the Chiefs – he’s an above average safety with starting experience.

The Vikings wanted to keep him, but he opted to take a year off. In addition to religious reasons, he took that year off due to a history of concussions that led him to contemplate retiring at that point.

Assuming he can avoid those concussion problems after a year away from football, this signing gives the Chiefs a backfield partner for Eric Berry who can hold his own.

Chiefs are getting a good player. Abdullah was the only guy doing anything when Minny’s secondary was bottoming out in 2011.
