bush had a nice 2 years in Miami. NICE. Not great. Its a mere technicality, but he didn’t post two 1000 yard seasons here. He fell just short this year.

The problem? When Bush is on the field for the first 2 downs trying to be THE guy, he ends up waving himself off the field on 3rd down way too many times which, I believe, helped account for his paltry receiving production. If you want him on the field on 3rd down, he’s going to have to be willing to give up a good chunk of those rushing yards. Is HE willing to do that? I don’t think so.

purpleguy-since you can type I have to assume that you can also read. If I’m correct about this it shouldn’t be too hard for you to figure out that Burleson was doing an interview on the NFL network. Therefore Detroit reporters have absolutely nothing to do with it and since he was the only Lions player being interviewed he would be the only player from whom a quote would be available.
You seem very obsessed with Burleson and his media interviews for some strange reason.

Why is Nate Burleson the only player that ever seems to be quoted for the Lions? Are the other players hiding or are Detroit reporters just lazily contacting the one player whose lips are always flapping?

Bush is not a full time RB. Proved that in New Orleans and Miami. Saints got better use out of Darren Sproles, cost them less, got just as much output.

There isn’t a more perfect fit than Detroit for Bush.

He would give Stafford the screen game and make life in the pocket a lot easier knowing Bush is right there if he needs to dump it off in a hurry.

Prediction” 1500 yards rushing and receiving for Bush in 2013 if he goes to Detroit.

These guys need to sign Houston and Delmas before thinking about upgrading the RB position with such a high-salaried player. Furthermore, they need to add to the Secondary with some solid and dependable veterans or else they’ll continue to lose games 60-57

Agreed. He is a fast and capable HB. He could get some attention off CJ once in awhile and open up a lot offensively.

I couldn’t think of a better RB for them. I’d still hang on to a few backups cause Bush has been known to be injury prone.

I also see no reason why the Lions shouldn’t draft at least 2 offensive linemen.
