I’m not rich, but i’d take season tickets without hesitation. I could go to some games and sell the rest to cover my tickets. It is a no brainer really. Get season tickets and go see a couple games a year for free? Count me in.

As far as you trolling goon who want to make fun of Packer fans for buying stock. Get a clue, then get a life. Anyone who bought one of those stock deals knows what they got. They know it has no value other than personal. Why be jealous of Packer fans? I didn’t buy any and I dont think anyone who did is stupid. It is their 250 bucks, they can do whatever they want with it. Give it away, burn it, buy a stock or donate it to charity. None of my biz, none of your biz either.

Yeah, but in order to keep a blackout from happening, the Jaguars have to tarp over 10,000 seats and need extensions every other week. It would be all good if they were selling out 74,ooo+ every week, but they couldn’t sell 1000 more if they wanted to.

I am 33 years old. After being on the season ticket waiting list for 32 years I was given the chance to purchase 4 season tickets this year.

I had to pass. To say its a struggle for those in Green Bay to continue to purchase these season tickets is an understatement. It would have costed me $9,600 for the seat license before I could even pay for the tickets.

Sad.

So, the group of people who can’t afford face value ticket prices represent a golden goose?

I’ve been on the waiting list for over 25 years for tickets, and I likely will never get them in my lifetime. I’m hopeful my daughters will get them if the stadium keeps expanding. That said, I still go to 2 games a year or so and spend an average of $350/ticket. I’ve always felt that Lambeau was worth every penny of admission price.

What you’re really trying to say is that you don’t like that the team keeps the profits you are making. Most people in any market could not afford to attend every signle game and in GB the secondary market is huge. Go to half the games, sell the other half, and basically not have to pay a dime. I’d gladly take your tickets if they become too much of a financial burden.

Feel free to give them up then – there’s a (very) long list of people who’d be happy to have them.

Hey buddy, if you don’t want those tickets just remember that you’ve got over 80,000 people like me waiting in line behind you that would gladly take them off your hands. They could double ticket prices and it would hardly make a dent in the waiting list.

First, they have tens of thousands of people on a waiting list which implies that the price should be higher than it is.

Second, many season ticket holders now sell their tickets to secondary brokers who sell them for the actual market value which is around 50 to 100% higher.

Why shouldn’t the team get this revenue instead of allowing fans to arbitrage the tickets and allow more visiting team fans in the stadium?
