We haven’t drafted a QB early since Aikman, and have not been to the big one since he left. I like Romo for the next few seasons, but it is not a coincidence that other teams (see the last few superbowl champions) have spent quality picks and seen dividends. You have to make a big investment to see a bigger return. I think the ‘boys are so hell-bent on proving that they can find starters in the undrafted pool that they take high picks for granted. Stop screwing around, follow the draft board, and Stephen needs to set his dad’s watch, phone, and calendar to say that the first round isn’t until the day of the third round. Then we will be alright!

They need to work on the line this year in the draft. I wouldn’t mind seeing them go after Woodson for Safety needs if they are in win now mode. If they are extending Romo, work on a QB next year or the year after. I honestly like Orton as the backup because although he isn’t going to put up gaudy passing numbers fans love, he will manage the game and make smart decisions.

Draft another quarterback Jerry….. Don’t worry about your biggest problem which is offensive line. Just keep giving all the money to the skill positions and dont worry about the trenches. Keep letting Romo run for his life.

Yeah. McGee was really the right guy. He lost the starting job his senior year at A&M. Who’s idea was that anyways? They need to get serious with all their drafts. What if Romo gets a career ending injury this year or next? We will be up the creek just like when Troy quit. They need to start looking every year!

Wrong. Steve Walsh was drafted as a supp. 1st rounder in 1989 after Aikman. Jones/Jimmy flipped him after a year for another high draft pick.

Really, nobody ought to be thinking QB early in this draft. There isn’t much to be had at that position that’s 1st-round quality.
