However, you need to be able to throw and not just run the read option. Tebow has shown he can’t throw. Posters should just stop it with the ridiculous “the Jets treated him horribly” comments. He was always a third string QB and they rarely play in this league. They tried him on Wildcat formations, but defenses have wised up to that gimmick. He got to play more than other 3rd stringers, so he should be happy.

In 2011, the Panthers went 6-10 and obviously didn’t make the playoffs. Do you see people clamoring to get rid of Superman? No. In 2012 they only won ONE more game.

In 2011 the Rams went 2-14, and did they get rid of Bradford? No.

In 2012, the Broncos, with Peyton Manning, got ONE game further in the playoffs than they did with Tebow. How did spending that extra 8 billion dollars on Manning work out for you?

I know he’s not the most elite qb in the league, but I will never understand the hate for this kid. Until he starts a full season and flops completely, I won’t be convinced otherwise.

People underestimate how good he is in the running game. He typically protects the ball well. He only turns the ball over when he’s trying to do too much. He owns the T.O.P. , and a lot of times he looks grossly inaccurate because he’s too conservative. It would be interesting to see how better/worse the Jets’ record would’ve been with Tebow starting this past season. I really doubt it would’ve been worse and I’ve NEVER seen Tebow fumble because of running into his own lineman’s butt a la Sanchez. He also had to contend with the horrible coaching of Sparano/Ryan. That alone makes me feel for Jets fans. Sparano is gone like he should be but Ryan will stink it up one more year. If not for the fact that Buddy is their dad I don’t think the Ryan brothers would coach past the high school level.

Mike, why don’t you look into this and tell us why the Jets aren’t interested and why no other teams seem to be either.

Is it the media circus that follows him? Is he a cancer in the clubhouse despite his faith? Are coaches that reluctant to give him a shot?

This is a results-oriented league and Tebow has 1 more playoff victory than Peyton Manning in the past 3 years.

There’s got to be more to it than the fact that he can’t throw worth a damn. What is it?
