Is there anything more stupid that reporting “a source with knowledge”? Wasn’t PFT first reporting no increase in the cap, then later a small increase in the cap and now that even though its a million increase it really means 5 million and then the 5 million turns into 160 million!!! AMAZING JOURNALISM!!

out of 32 teams how many can afford to use extra cap space for spending? if you are gonna have cap issues in 2014 onwards would it be wise to spend it, just cuz you have it?

This really only makes sense for teams working at the margins. Needless to say, that’s not every team, and the new cap floor penalties are ridiculously lax, by the way, so don’t expect that to change all that much.
