I think we really need to resign Barwin because he is very talented and we need the depth.

More importantly, he had a down year this year so we should be able to sign him to a cheaper deal than we would have if we signed him before this past season. But once all the offense’s start double teaming JJ Watt (which obviously will happen) I think Barwin will get his numbers back up. Plus he’s pretty good (not great) at pass coverage. And still pretty young himself, so he has a lot of great football left in him.

I was worried about where his head was, but as a fan I brushed it off as a young man having fun. After this past season, if we don’t get him on the cheap, I say let him walk.
