The whole elite quarterback argument is pointless and subjective. So don’t call him elite if you don’t feel he is. But what can’t be disputed is the fact that he is the MVP and winning quarterback of the Super Bowl. That’s really all that matters. All of the quarterbacks who are consensus “elite” players sat home and watched Joe Flacco win the Super Bowl.

While gambling with Flacco’s NON exclusiveness (2 first round picks) seems attractive, it would set the Ravens QB situation back 10 years. I can’t imagine that happening.

Flacco is going NOWHERE…..Cleveland and Philadelphia are the armpits of the NFL with dumps for stadiums and no fan base.

He’ll sign a long term deal…we’ll keep Boldin and Ellerbe and the Lombardi’s will keep rolling into Baltimore.

And don’t forget this….Philadelphia has NO offensive line while Cleveland has NO receivers….why would Joe go somewhere and get the crap beat out of him every game or have nobody to throw too.

Rest assured Cleveland and Philadelphia….you have no quarterback and you will suck until you get one…and this draft has NONE.

I don’t think Bradshaw was paid all that well. Montana yeah, Aikman even better. I remember Aikman restructuring his contract so Emmit wouldn’t hold out again. as for the B.W. parkway battle as a Redskins fan I say congratulations to the Ravens on winning the super bowl. I won’t make comparisons but I will say you got a good QB in Flacco so pay the man

The thoughts are interesting though. Flacco signs with the Browns, pick up the #6 pick in the draft this year and a probable top 10 pick next year. So 4 first round picks in 2 years and then go sign or trade for Alex Smith and save about 13 million next year to upgrade in other spots.

Skins fans are delusional if you think Bob is going to get them anywhere when the dude can even play like a 15 week season without getting seriously injured. I’m sorry. I didn’t know QBs controlled a team’s purse string. It’s not the job of the QB to balance or even worry about the salary cap. That job is the GMs. If the price tag is too high for the team tell the player to take a walk. Everyone seems to believe in the concept of the free market until it comes to athlete salaries. I also seem to recall that player contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL and they can get caught at any point no matter how important they are. Like Manning in Indy who got cut in the middle of a $90 million deal.

You know, the one that calls its home raljon and has all of its employees refer to the owner as Mr. Snyder while looking down at the floor. Yeah, logical voice, real functional organization you got running there. Make sure to wear your hard hat when you go to that dump of a stadium there are hunks of concrete falling all over the place.
