Flacco is going NOWHERE.....Cleveland and Philadelphia are the armpits of the NFL with dumps for stadiums and no fan base.

He'll sign a long term deal...we'll keep Boldin and Ellerbe and the Lombardi's will keep rolling into Baltimore.

And don't forget this....Philadelphia has NO offensive line while Cleveland has NO receivers....why would Joe go somewhere and get the crap beat out of him every game or have nobody to throw too.

Rest assured Cleveland and Philadelphia....you have no quarterback and you will suck until you get one...and this draft has NONE.

I remember Aikman restructuring his contract so Emmit wouldn't hold out again. as for the B.W. parkway battle as a Redskins fan I say congratulations to the Ravens on winning the super bowl. I won't make comparisons but I will say you got a good QB in Flacco so pay the man

The thoughts are interesting though. Flacco signs with the Browns, pick up the #6 pick in the draft this year and a probable top 10 pick next year. So 4 first round picks in 2 years and then go sign or trade for Alex Smith and save about 13 million next year to upgrade in other spots.

@logicalvoice...typical of all of the Redskins fans who popped off all year because a 4th place schedule won them an overrated division. These are the same last place Caps fans who have disappeared recently, for some reason. 3 playoff appearances in 20 years is impressive, gotta give you that.

Flacco would be the best QB in Skins history this side of Sammy Baugh.

There's only one Superbowl MVP quarterback in Maryland and his name is Joey Flacco. Skins fans are delusional if you think Bob is going to get them anywhere when the dude can even play like a 15 week season without getting seriously injured. Here is what Joe did 2008: 19 starts 2009: 18 starts 2010: 18 starts 2011: 18 starts 2012: 20 starts....Bob is already behind the curve and is not going to last long enough to take your team anywhere but back in the cellar.

Interesting all these people are still hating on the reigning super bowl MVP. You all do know that Flacco sits on the pinnacle of the sport right??? You do know that winning the super bowl is the ultimate goal and he did that and also emerged the game's best player. You all get that right.

Ravens. Best franchise is the league.

Almost as depressing as seeing your favorite team trade a buttload of draft picks for your franchise QB, and then watch while your coach practically does a Jeff Gillooly on Bob's knee in his first playoff game.

QBs are gonna sink their teams with these ridiculous contracts, then complain later on about how they have no help. Ask Dan Marino, Dan fouts, Warren Moon, and ken Anderson how many superbowls they won with no help. Its no coincidence that every great multiple SB winning QB had a stacked roster to help them. Look at what Aikman, Montanna, And Bradshaw were working with.

Are you really asserting that Aikman, Montana, and Bradshaw weren’t well paid?

Of course they were well paid. Somebody correct me if im wrong but i dont think they had a salary cap back when those guys played. So the point here would be you need to spread the wealth in order to keep a solid team together.

@ppdoc13...logicalvoice submitted the most idiotic comment on this post, but you take 2nd. 1)The Redskins made the playoffs this yr, making them relevant as of 2013 2) The name Raljon was discontinued over a decade ago 3) it took Flacco 5 tries (with a better supporting cast) to finally win a super bowl...so before we assume who most NFL ppl would stick with lets give the "junior varsity"s qb a couple more yrs

Flacco is a smart guy. He knows that the Ravens are on the decline. He will pull a LeBron James and join the next great football team in the Philadelphia Eagles. He knows Chip Kelly is the next Vince Lombardi and he will lead them to multiple Superbowls.

nfl4days says: Feb 21, 2013 7:32 PM

QBs are gonna sink their teams with these ridiculous contracts, then complain later on about how they have no help. Ask Dan Marino, Dan fouts, Warren Moon, and ken Anderson how many superbowls they won with no help. Its no coincidence that every great multiple SB winning QB had a stacked roster to help them. Look at what Aikman, Montanna, And Bradshaw were working with.
---------
I'm sorry. I didn't know QBs controlled a team's purse string. It's not the job of the QB to balance or even worry about the salary cap. That job is the GMs. If the price tag is too high for the team tell the player to take a walk. Everyone seems to believe in the concept of the free market until it comes to athlete salaries. I also seem to recall that player contracts are not guaranteed in the NFL and they can get caught at any point no matter how important they are. Like Manning in Indy who got cut in the middle of a $90 million deal.

@logicalvoice - if I were you I would invest in a whole lot of ace bandages. Ngata about well broke your wonder child into matchsticks. And if having the "third" best qb in Maryland means we win the SB, I'll take it. Btw - when was the last year that the junior varsity team in Maryland was relevant. You know, the one that calls its home raljon and has all of its employees refer to the owner as Mr. Snyder while looking down at the floor. Yeah, logical voice, real functional organization you got running there. Make sure to wear your hard hat when you go to that dump of a stadium there are hunks of concrete falling all over the place. Thanks anyway though, I'll stick with flacco over cousins or rg3 as would most nfl people worth their salt.
