But that’s the thing: he took the Eagles to FIVE NFC championship games. They had several years where they could realistically win any game against any team. Some people act like he was 4-12 for 14 seasons in Philly.

If he can turn the Chiefs into a competitive football team that isn’t a depressing combination of boring and embarrassing, Chiefs fans will love him.

Part of his image problem in Philly was due to the lazy sportswriters who are use to being spoon fed their daily work. They resented Andy being taciturn and making them actually go and develop a story. Hence the Les Bowman slapfest.
