If he could stay on the field for 16 games he'd be worth consideration for the tag. Hopefully they can get a deal done, losing #16 would be a blow to a team already lacking at WR.

Both sides making compelling arguments for and against DX...but I bet the Rams would love to have him under contract for at least one more season. If he stays healthy and continues on the upward arc he's on in two or three years he is one of the league's best.
If...
All that said, it would sure be nice to see management go hard after a couple of game breakers this off season. Even tho the defense was good and is gonna get better, the difference between .500 and the playoffs is a few easy scores...the kind of scores the GSOT used to thrive on.

If he ends up signing somewhere else, I just hope it’s not another Danario Alexander situation where he thrives in another system. Not that I don’t want the guy to succeed – I just don’t want another injury-prone but talented WR with potential leaving the Rams and then finding success (and suddenly staying injury free) on another team.

The Rams don't miss Alexander. He can't practice during the week and up until this year could not play in back to back games. He managed to play in 10 games for the Chargers and caught 37 balls. He had 4 receptions in his last three games. Good talent, but his knees are shot after his 6-7 surgeries.

Next you will be lamenting the loss of Laurent Robinson, another guy that couldn't stay healthy, then put it together as a #3 in Dallas just as he became a FA; only to be overpaid by the Jags and hurt all year as normal.

But Snead is right, he's too injury prone to warrant a $10MM salary. I believe this morning he said something to the effect of "Productivity outweighs potential and you've got to be on the field to be productive." Can't argue with that.
