APWhile both teams downplayed the possibility this week, the Chiefs and Eagles have apparently talked about a trade for quarterback Nick Foles.
According to Mike Garafolo of USA Today, there was no real progress toward a deal, but it was made clear to the Chiefs that the Eagles still want to take a look at Foles.
The talks apparently happened a few hours after Reid stood on a podium and said “He’s not available,” in reference to Foles.
Expect the Eagles to revisit the topic as the months go on, as they know they can’t keep Matt Cassel at $7.5 million (or at any price), and Foles is more of a known commodity to Reid than anyone else available.

It’s just amazing how year after year the Eagles can find suckers. You have to hand it to them.
At any price? So if Matt Cassel was making the vet minimum he wouldn’t even be worth keeping as the #2 with 5 years of starting experience in the NFL?
if/when it happens, I’ll believe it when I see it.

Foles isn’t much better than Cassel, as they both are second string at best. I would think they would be looking at Flynn, Alex Smith or Matt Moore.
But what do I know.

You might wanna think about doing it also TROLL
Foles has more upside than Cassel. If they can pull off another Kolbesque deal, then have at it. Just don’t waste the picks this time. I really wanted Foles to be The Eagles QB, but as an Eagles fan, we don’t get what we want very often, LOL.
The funny part about this report that there is no report about this…This is just a fake report that somebody made up to get attention.
The Chiefs never contacted the Eagles about Nick Foles
But the Chiefs have contacted the 49ers about Alex Smith…Hope that doesn’t happen because with Alex Smith it will just be as bad as having Matt Cassel under center.

Uh actually he’s dead on. no matter how bad, a former starting qb with 5+ years league xp is worth a back up job – especially at vet minimum, troll…
Take a look at Matt Flynn over Nick Foles?? You’ve seen him play one game against a trash secondary.. Not saying Foles is better than Flynn but how do you know????
Foles might want to consider growing a beard.
I wonder if Foles is worth swapping firsts to Andy.
What would KC give up for Foles?

That really makes no sense since Andy Reid is the one who drafted Foles in the first place.

Did you mean the Chiefs, since they’re the team with Cassel?
Before the dopes come out, minimum compensation the Eagles will take is 88th pick overall. Or obviously a position flip in draft combo, I.e. Foles and 3rd for middle second (never happen just an example)
Of course Andy wants to make this trade…he’s smarter than everyone so he KNOWS Foles is a great QB.
I think Reid needs someone who can help translate his version of the west coast offense and since we all know a Reid Mc5 reunion is gonna happen Foles is his only option.
Shaggy
Foles for a 2. Nothing less.
I hope Napoleon Dynamite gets a chance to start somewhere!
Lot of people writing off Foles when they never saw him play. Kid showed very good poise in the pocket. He moved around well to avoid the rush and got the ball out of his hand quickly. He had a 60% completion percentage in 6 games, which is damn good for a rookie.
In the end I think he’ll be a very solid starter.
As for a trade how about Foles & a 4th rd pic for Dontari Poe?
Eagles need a NG if they plan on going to a 3-4
KC needs a QB and they are going to a 4-3.
No way on the Poe thing. The Chiefs are still running a 3-4 and have wasted too many picks, trying to find a DT. Poe is turning into a star.
They’ll swap 1sts with them and both teams will draft an OT. The Eagles will get Joekel and the Chiefs will get Fisher.
Looks like a cross between Nicholas Cage and Napoleon Dynamite.

Poe gets pushed around so much his nickname should be Grocery Cart.
I hope Andy trades for Nick Foles and turns him into a great quarterback and also hope the Chiefs with Andy Reid as head coach and Nick Foles as QB win a Super Bowl in 3 to 4 years.
Nick thought he might be taking his skateboard to K.C.
On a good day, Foles for nothing more than a 3rd.
Nothing.
Foles’ detractors know nothing of the facts about him. He actually played very well. He’s by far the best option available to the Eagles. That’s why the braintrust will probably trade him for crap. As for the Kolb trade, what has DRC done? Over time that will look like a better deal for the Cards.
Does anyone forget that it was Reid who drafted Foles. He knows who he is what he can do and what he can’t do. Reid was the one developing qbs to trade away. Have to trust Reid in what he knows about Foles. I’d trust what pederson and Reid know over every draft expert that say the qbs aren’t first round material.
PLEASE PLEASE…Remember what Foles played behind. I venture to say the worst make shift O Line in all Pro Football. Three starters out and one flop Fireman who became a benched first round disaster, Demetrius Bell, Queen Dunlap, Dallas whatever. A fifth round First year guard from Purdue…All that considered…now tell me how Foles played
The Chiefs are bringing in Alex Smith so the Eagles whiffed on their chance to unload Foles who will fit in Chip Kelly’s offense like a square peg in a round hole.
The first of many botched personnel moves to come from the pathetic eagles no doubt.
