Alabama cornerback Dee Milliner had a simple message for those who questioned his athleticism: “Watch the NFL Combine.”
If they were watching Tuesday morning, those questions no longer exist.
Milliner put up the fastest time of the morning so far by a defensive back, running a scorching 4.31-second 40 on his first attempt. His second was a 4.37, validating the first one.
That kind of speed clears up one of the few remaining concerns about his game, and likely cements him as a Top 10 pick.
Actually, it probably does more than that. Detroit is picking fifth overall, and has a glaring need at Milliner’s position. So anyone who wants a shot at him is probably going to have to be in front of them, or make a deal with someone who is.
