Never fear, Cardinals fans. Bruce Arians is a quarterback guru. Look what he did for Ben Roethlisberger’s career.
In 2004, Roethlisberger threw 17 TD passes in 13 starts as a rookie. But by his eighth seasons in 2011 — Arians’ last as the Steelers’ OC — Roethlisberger produced 21 TD passes in 15 starts.
From 17 to 21.
In eight years.
That’s amazing.

Adam Schefter is not a rep for the Cards. I haven’t heard ANYONE from the Cards say they are interested. And yet, we have these seemingly weekly articles trying to link them to every available QB.

Let me make my usual statement; The Cards are not taking this guy.

Cassel threw a TD pass in a preseason game last year. He ran into the endzone pumping his arm like a self-absorbed zoo monkey and tried to jump on a teammate’s back. He fell down. It was a career highlight.

Kolb wasn’t bad last year. He actually ha decent numbers even with tat terrible line. He just can’t stay healthy.

The Cardnials should be sniffing around Colt McCoy, Bruce Gradkowski, Ryan Fitzpatrick, T.J. Yates, Joe Webb, Matt Moore, or even Matt Flynn….

Kolb is better when healthy. The problem is that he’s rarely healthy. Then again, Cassel has health issues, plus he stinks.

So because Schefter states that the Cards would look at Cassell it’s true? It’s just a statement from a guy who gets paid to make stories. Obviously the Cards have qb issues so looking at all options is wise. This could all be a smokescreen for another deal for all we know. Most likely the Cards keep Kolb (restructured contract), draft a stud o-line, and grab a qb in the 3rd round. Sounds logical and works for me.

How bad are your quarterbacks if you are looking at Matt Cassel? That guy that got benched in favor of Brady Quinn, the guy who was not good enough to keep the Browns starting job over Derrick Anderson and got skipped over by Tim Tebow when Kyle Orton, who wasn’t good enough to beat out REX GROSSMAN, was benched. That’s a sorry pile of failure.

cassell has one job last year, hand off to charles and company and game manage, and he couldnt even do that, and now arizona want to give him a whirl, wont end well!! just draft geno smith and let him take his rookie lumps ,cause not like the chiefs will be any good the next 5plus years, anyways!!!
