Mike Patterson to visit Lions, Washburn

Mike Patterson AP

After being released by the Eagles, defensive tackle Mike Patterson is going to visit with a familiar face.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Patterson is scheduled to meet with the Lions.

There, he’d get to work with former Eagles line coach Jim Washburn, who was hired by the Lions this offseason.

Patterson came back from a seizure which was caused by a tangle of blood vessels in his brain, and played five games for the Eagles last season.

to high of a risk I might be wrong be that’s something we can not do right now is risk a roster spot for a player that has issues like that

The brilliant wide 9 which is impossible to beat. Unless you run the ball up the middle, or throw screens, or short passes, or medium passes, or chip the DE and roll the pocket, or use a 2 TE set, or have a RB who is good in pass protection, or freeze that DE with a read option fake, or run a draw and let those DEs run themselves out of the play, or run hurry up and tire out those rushers who are useless doing anything but rush.
