APBears left tackle J’Marcus Webb is getting the kind of pass that he routinely gives to guys like Jared Allen.
Heyyoooo!
According to the Carbondale Southern Illinoisan, a prosecutor in Pulaski County, Illinois won’t pursue drug charges against Webb.
Webb apologized for the Sunday night incident on Twitter, which came after a traffic stop for speeding. He was arrested for marijuana possession and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Webb could still be subject to entry into the NFL’s substance-abuse program. The arrest will trigger an evaluation, which could result in a decision to subject him to multiple random tests per month.

I see the problem with the Bears – from the pic above, it appears they tackle their own guys.
I think marijuana possession shouldn’t be a crime. The voters of Oregon and Colorado agree. That said, Webb is getting preferential treatment because he plays for the prosecutor’s favorite team. This is a huge slap in the face to the thousands of people who have had their lives rocked over a pot arrest.
One more reason they will get his replacement this offseason.
alright illinois! petty posession is such a minor crime these days anyway.
The wrath of Goodell >>> law “enforcement”
You had to go with the Webb pic where hes tackling Cutler. As a Bears fan, was hoping theyd throw the book athim to keep Webb off the field.
Prosecutor is obviously a Packers fan.
Concentrate on the HGH and collusion. A guy with a joint is of no interest. That’s not exactly performance enhancing. Ask Cutler.
Must be nice!!!
stop giving potheads a bad name, Mr Turnstile
The picture you have decided to include pretty much sums up J’Marcus’s entire career so far. This clown should have been cut a long long time ago. Webb is Jerry Angelo’s last laugh at us Bears fans….
Ummm.. Why is Webb tackling Cutler?
Maybe he is saving him from throwing a pick?
Yay! From the link:
‘Pulaski County State’s Attorney Grayson Gile said the pot charges related to Webb’s arrest Sunday night have been dropped, the (Carbondale) Southern Illinoisan reported. Gile told the newspaper the case lends itself to a “fair and equitable” resolution.’
Looks like they have better use for taxpayer money than a weed prosecution. Pulaski County has its priorities in order.
Repeat, Yay!
Of course not, he has money….
Maybe the charges were dismissed when Mayhew promised the prosecutor he’d trade him to the Lions.
LOL i love the pic of webb tackling Cutler…best blocking job i’ve ever seen him do.
translation: the check cleared
How do you get a weed charge dropped?
His weed man should be nervous right now.
Hopefully he will be someone else’s problem very soon.
Ayup. Equal protection under the law. I’m certain that anybody in Illinois arrested for possession of marijuana and paraphernalia would be given the same generous leniency.
legalize it. F. its better than that ibuprofin you take all the time. And, more than likely, was made in the USA.
Why is Webb sacking Cutler in that pic?
Love that picture. No wonder Cutler bumped him. His LT is tackling him!
Pierce morgan is tard send him back to england
Everyone in the county that got arrested for the same thing and got prosecuted should be allowed to sue the sate for discrimination.
Now that pic makes sense…Webb thought maybe Jay was holding.
Jay Cutler demands an explanation,
Illegal search or something amiss.
All you have to do is keep everything illegal OUT OF ARMS REACH. Thems the rules.
A cop can search anywhere and anything that is considered in arms reach (safety reasons as per the courts).
Keep it in your trunk. No one can legally search your trunk unless one has a search warrant, or you say it is OK, or search incidental to a lawful arrest (as in taking inventory of said trunk before impounding or releasing the vehicle).
You have to be brain dead to get caught with weed or stoned or both or not give a crap…
An arrest seems a bit over the top. He was pulled over for going 11 mph over the limit in the the middle of nowhere and had less than 2.5 grams of pot. I’m guessing there was an illegal search involved or some other gaff the DA didn’t want going public.
Webb is maybe HS practice squad material at best….the fact that there is film of you tackling your own QB is reason enough to never play at the NFL level again.
I am wondering if the search that found the pot was legal? There is probably more to the story.
That picture is cracking me up, how ha I never seen this until now!?
Hey billsboy88
Congratulations, you were half-right. Now excuse me as I go fill my gravity bong with some of the Maui Dawg I bought on sale this past Sunday.
Sincerely,
A Washington Resident
Folks keep asking why Webb is talking Cutler in that pic. A better question is why is Webb’s hand on Cutler’s ass?
Billsboy 88, please learn the difference between Oregon and Washington. Other than that, I agree with you whole heartedly.
