First off, the more “logicvoicessays” says about the Redskins, the more obvious it should be that he is not a Redskins fan. The other 31 fanbases will not be able to understand that however.

Getting back to the article, while it is simply not realistic for Alexander to replace Fletcher, he is someone Washington needs to keep around at virtually any cost. His special teams skills are invaluable, but his leadership, work ethic, and contribution to developing the players around him is equaled only by Fletcher. In other words, the price it will cost to keep him on the field is only a small fraction of his total value.

we need to keep this guy. especially with Fletch calling it quits soon. this guy leads special teams in tackles like every year. drafting an inside backer would be a huge drop off in performance. re-sign Lorenzo and start grooming him to replace Fletch

Snyder is doing the right thing with filing the injunction. Will Jerry Jones also get on the bus, or, will he back down from the ire that will surely rain down from the other owners?

Zo is going to be 30 this May. He is complete on special teams, but lacks skills needed to be a starting linebacker. I’m not sure we should pay too much for this guy. Rob Jackson is 27 and should definitely be resigned because the guy makes plays and has a nose for the ball. This is a tough call.

You say that they didn’t get fined … they didn’t lose cap space.

They lost 36 million in cap space ($18 million last year (2012), $18 million this year (2013)). But the jokes on the league, cause while Mara was a major component in getting the league to take the $36 million in cap space, the Redskins were making the playoffs and the defending champion Giants were sitting at home wondering what went wrong in the season.

I can’t see Alexander staying on the Redskins. He is looking to become a starter and there doesn’t seem to be a spot on that defense for him unless Fletcher decides he’s done or Orakpo is moved.

Well, thats what happens when you actually have a decent roster. Sometimes your going to lose good players because we actually have some of those on the roster. Pay attention Vinny Cerato, Shanahan and Bruce just gave you a lesson in team building.

Normally I would not troll, but with Snyder threatening the start of free agency over his own misdeeds, I’d say Washington lacks a full deck in any case.

If for some reason the Skins can’t keep this guy, any other team in the league is going to be very happy with him. He’s played about 5 or 6 different positions on the Skins (OL, DL, TE, both ILB and OLB), and he’s a complete beast on special teams. I can’t count how many times this guy has completely detonated a returner. Plus, he’s an all around good guy with his head screwed on straight. I’ll be sad to see him go.

OK … they didn’t get a penalty or a sanction. The Redskins just had to charge the Haynesworth deal against the cap … same as any team would have had to do. They tried to cheat and got caught … but they didn’t get fined … they didn’t lose cap space. They just had to follow the rules.
