They are nothing alike. This country was founded on Christianity, although we all try to pretend it wasn’t. I pray that someday you will discover the love God has for you and the forgiveness and acceptance He will offer.

While I will always hate Tiny Tim Teblow at least he did the right thing in the end by bowing out of the talk. It does not absolve Tiny Tim of the crime of agreeing initially to speak for this preacher of hate and stupidity.

A shame that any space was wasted on either Tiny Tim Teblow initially accepting to talk for the preacher of hate Robert Jeffress or about Jeffress spewing his hate after being spurned by Tiny Tim.

The world would be so much more wonderful if there was no religion, especially religions like Judaism, Christianity and Islam which ironically are merely variations of the same lame theme of the same false god.

Also about your comment about feeding the poor and medicine. Judas Iscariot said something similar to Jesus. How did that work out for Judas?

Because sports complexes, universities, businesses, etc, are not not based on a book that is dead set against such things as a $130 million dollar building.

It was a smart move by Tebow, but haters hate, the mockers mock regardless.

The funny thing is 99.99999% of the people doing this haven’t achieved the success athletically that he has and/or have they given back and served their fellow man as much as he has.

Ummm . . . that jeffress idiot has publicly made his beliefs pretty clear many times. Pretty sure you could just google the guy’s name or the name of the church and be told exactly “what is preached there.”

You got it exactly right. Clowns like Jeffress somehow manage to brainwash their followers into thinking they are the 2nd coming of Christ, and that they should give 10% of their earnings to the church, simply so the church can build a $130 million building and leaders of the church get to milk it for all they can.

He does have a brand to protect and potential endorcement money to make. Both would be hurt by attending such a controversical church.

It doesn’t mean his views are the same as Jeffers either but in my opinion his decision to decline the invitation also should have come with an explanation as to why.

As it stands, we are left wondering if this was a calculated decision made by his handlers who are looking after him financially or if he declined the visit because he doesn’t agree with what is being preached at this church.

I get really tired of tebow and i do not believe or care for his religous beliefs at all. A lot of what he believes i find ridiculous actually. I couldn’t care less what you or jeffres or tebow believes, what i have a problem with is when people try to preach to all the rest of us who don’t share their beliefs. Tebow is allowed to believe whatever he wants. they have just as much right to believe those things as i do to believe they are idiots for believing that. i just don’t want to hear about it. I have to give tebow credit for once for actually keeping his beliefs to himself.

Unfortunately, welcome to the human condition. There will always be people who lack any form of empathy or understanding of others. They care about themselves and themselves only. They simply don’t care and often times have sincere hatred for anyone who isn’t EXACTLY like them.

It’s sad indeed, but it’s always been that way and I don’t see it changing anytime soon unfortunately.

I don’t see how spending that much money on a building is at all christian. An adequate, humble building with the basics and the rest of the millions used for helping those in need does.

Exactly on both counts. The pastor saying what he’s saying isn’t tolerance or love, which is what Christianity is supposed to be about. And the people that follow his vitriol is what makes it continue. At the end of the day, its people being afraid of something different. Rather than accepting the differences of others, they turn to hate through ignorance.
