In 2010, the year of Roethlisberger’s suspension, Batch was actually the fourth-stringer and would have been cut had Leftwich not been injured in the final preseason game.
Tomlin also displayed complete disdain and disrespect toward Batch this past season by playing a visibly injured Leftwich in a 23-20 loss to the Ravens.
Even though Batch has played well when called upon, it’s been obvious to me that Batch is not one of Tomlin’s favorite players.
Tomlin’s handling of the quarterbacks over the years has been a disgrace.

He is the best backup they’ve had since the Mike Tomczak days… Sure, he can’t go more than a few games in a row without falling apart, but he’s otherwise a decent QB. Leftwich is okay too, but he’s built from toothpicks…
