The ravens are the browns in different colors. Everyone knows it, regardless of whether the league acknowledges it or not. And the browns never won a Super Bowl. Ever. So if you want to compare Super Bowl wins between the Steelers and the ravens/clowns, go ahead. Looks like 6-2 to me. And how could the ravens claim to be a “new” franchise started in 1996 when they had the same front office, owner, and even some players as the browns the year before? Ridiculous.

How can you sit here and say Ravens dominated the Steelers last year? Batch put a beatdown on the Ravens. The Steelers dealt with alot of injuries last year to several key players including the Starting QB and starting lb’s and starting safety for several games. I wouldnt sleep on the Steelers.They are still a good team

Roethlisberger has the “better record” because he was the quarterback of the better team, especially defensively. I’m pretty sure Flacco has been the more successful of the two when Troy Polamalu hasn’t been in the Steelers’ starting lineup.

Nice Try….yea Id like to see both them qbs play defense.. I dont think it would be pretty for either qb. I still know (head to head) steelers against ravens despite injury/suspension…….Big Ben still has the better record 4-2 against Flacco heading into the 2013 season.

you do have a point that Flacco did beat the steelers in 09 and 10….. but still,……. it was without Big Ben playing. Your right it wasn’t Flaccos fault Ben wasn’t playing You cant dispute the fact that Big Ben could have also won them games but he never got the chance….This could have also given him an overall better record(6-2/5-1) then the head to head 4-2 record he has against Flacco now. Should be fun to watch in the future if these 2 qbs stay healthy.

But Joe did beat the Steelers in ’09 and ’10, so it’s not like Ben was 2-0 against Joe each year until sitting on his own balls on opening day ’11. It’s not his fault Ben was concussed in ’09 and suspended in ’10.

A) Roethlisberger put up Joe Flacco-type numbers upon his return, and he was clearly still injured (torn rib cartilage is easily a 6 month injury).

No, winning the SuperBowl is what passes for dominance. Which we did. While Pitt sat at home and watched the postseason from their couches. And please don’t ignore the fact that Baltimore has made it to 2 AFCC’s and 1 SB in the past 2 years while Pitt hasn’t advanced past a Tebow driven Broncos team, while going 3-1 against the Steelers, who were almost swept by CLEVELAND this year. OR it could be that both teams are more concerned about their own issues right now. The Steelers were almost 20 million over the cap, they needed to clear cap space and do it fast. Take care of your own problems or cost a rival what amounts to less than 1% of cap space. It’s a no brainer. The same for the Patriots. They didn’t need the money as bad but they have two key cogs up for free agency in Welker and Volmer. Clearly signing those guys gives them a better edge than costing another team what amounts to pennies in the NFL.

I still think your stretching the whole “stick it to the Ravens” storyline. At this point, teams don’t care when it doesn’t impact them directly.

Man what are you talking about, Ben hasn’t beaten Joe since 2010. It’s now 2013. I realize he was hurt last year, but the last year he was healthy he got swept. Ravens won the division 2 years in a row and are the champs, so yes LATELY, the Ravens have dominated the Steelers. And before anyone say’s anything about Charlie Batch, Mighty Big Ben lost to Bruce freakin Grodkowski, “who?” exactly, Duds happen.

Don’t think the Steelers are to.concerned with Flacco. Despite Flacco’s One ring. (how cute) He has rarely caused the Steelers any problems. His play against Pitt is more on par with the backup QBs he has beaten. Steelers D owns Flacco. Numbers dont lie.
