Titans tight end Brandon Barden arrested for DUI

Titans tight end Brandon Barden was arrested Saturday in Georgia on DUI on refusal charges.

According to WRDW-TV in Augusta, Ga., Barden was arrested after a single-car wreck on Highway 220 in Lincoln County.

Officers told the station Barden’s car went off the right side of the road, lost control, hit a ditch and did a flip and a half before landing on its side.

Barden refused a field sobriety test, but the officer on the scene said he could “smell a strong odor of alcohol.” Barden was booked and released on bond.

An undrafted rookie from Vanderbilt, Barden played in three games last season.

Via Jim Wyatt of the Tenneseean, the Titans gave the usual “aware of the situation,” and “gathering facts” statement.
