Cullen Jenkins wraps up Giants visit, no deal yet

Cullen Jenkins AP

Cullen Jenkins took advantage of the head start on free agency afforded by being released by the Eagles to pay a visit with the Giants.

But according to multiple reports Friday afternoon, that visit has concluded with no deal.

Mike Garafolo of USA Today said more visits are planned next week, but there were no specific destinations listed for the veteran defensive tackle.

This is the time of year when the best thing an agent can have in his pocket is a good “mystery team,” or two, though Jenkins should be able to find more than one team interested in adding him.

I’d love to have him as a rotational guy. Only JP will play all three downs frequently this season.

Hmmm, doesn’t fit the Packer’s M-O because of his age but could Teddy be bringing Jenkins back home?

It’s going to be a hard Xmas for most free agents. Only a few are getting presents. Many will find coal in their stockings.

Well I do know this for sure if he signs someplace else all the giants fans will mock the team that signed him. If he signs in NEW JERSEY they will talk about how great the signing was and this is why Reese is the greatest ever. He is a locker room cancer but will fit right in with those misfits in east Rutherford
