Patriots release Spencer Larsen

The Patriots terminated the contract of fullback Spencer Larsen and waived offensive tackle Kyle Hix on Friday, according to the NFL’s official transaction report.

The 28-year-old Larsen has had a unique NFL career, logging playing time both at fullback and linebacker as a member of the Broncos from 2008 through 2011. He signed with the Patriots last March, but a knee injury landed him on injured reserve in August.

Hix, 24, has spent the last two seasons on injured reserve, with a shoulder injury ending his campaign both times.

So much for how much Brady’s new contract will negatively effect that of Joe Flacco or other NFL players.

    What a crock!
