The Broncos’ Pro Bowl left tackle received the franchise tag from Denver on Friday, a league source tells PFT. The 26-year-old Clady received the non-exclusive tag, which would allow teams to make an offer for the tackle if willing to surrender two first-round picks.
The 6-foot-6, 315-pound Clady is regarded as one of the NFL’s best left tackles. He has started all 80 games in five NFL seasons. The Broncos drafted him in the first round of the 2008 draft.
