How do the ravens keep Ed, Cary Williams, Kruger and Ellerbe? Thats the question.

Ravens have a boatload of key free agents (Reed, Ellerbe, Pitta, Dickson, Kruger, McKinnie, C. Williams).

Realistically, the Ravens will have enough room to sign maybe 2 or 3 of these guys. The problem is they probably won’t have cap room to match if any teams decide to throw absurd money at any of these guys.

Ravens will let him test the market. He’ll get interest but it won’t be the level he wants. Reed will have to deal with all this himself since he’s his own agent.

When it doesn’t work out he’ll get a contract to stay a Raven. I want Reed around but its a tough call to make. Fans were pretty upset when Mason and Heap we’re dumped but it was the perfect call.

Reed is first ballot HOF.

He said last time, what football player won’t like to play for coach bellichick? If his team can’t afford him now , he can go to the pats. Let’s face it, it’s business. Very few players will take less money if they can get more. Whatever reed does, good luck.

Ed, you’re a Raven – A leader of the flock! The call is coming but understand, like you always say, it’s a business. If you feel the Oz will not be fair to you at this point in your career basd on your body of work and potential to play for the next couple years then we understand you have the option to play for another team. All in all would prefer you end your career here and retire as a Raven whether it’s 1, 2, 3 years from now or next month. If your not financially secure at this point and chasing money then look to sign elsewhere. GO RAVENS!

Ed spends no money and probably banked most of the money he’s made so far. I don’t think money is really a concern for him as long as the ravens deal is deemed as fair.

He knows now he is the Man in Bmore with no more Uncle Ray to look up to and I think he’ll relish that role.
